Every winter and spring, the rich waters of the Loreto National Marine Park draw the world’s largest animal to come feed. This is one of the few places in the world where blue whales consistently come close to land, and scientists have long come here to study.

The coasts of Loreto, in Baja California Sur, Mexico, are the refuge of dozens of specimens of the blue whale, who can complete their reproduction process through feeding, mating and breeding. This is the largest mammal in the world.
